About The Founder

Laura Vazquez graduated with a Specialized Bilingual Honours Degree in Political Science, with a concentration in International Relations at the College Universitaire Glendon, York University in 2012. She then went on to earn her Ontario College Diploma in Law Clerk Studies at Seneca College of Applied Arts & Technology in 2014 also in Toronto, Ontario. Laura is fluent in English and Spanish, speaks intermediate Portuguese and has a working knowledge of French assisting her in servicing clients of diverse backgrounds.

Laura has several years of legal and administrative experience and has worked in various legal areas within small to large-sized firms in Canada and abroad. Her primary areas of experience include Real Estate and Wills & Estates, but she has also briefly assisted firms with Criminal matters, Litigation matters, Immigration matters and some Family Law matters. Since graduating, Laura has also worked with numerous clients in the IT Sector and Real Estate Industry providing office administration support, client relationship management and executive assistance.

Laura believes that great service begins and ends with experienced and friendly professionals. At LV Legal Administrative Services we complete projects efficiently and on schedule, and go above and beyond to form lasting relationships with our clients.

Our Services

General Legal Administrative & Law Clerk Support:

  • Conducting legal research.

  • Precedent development and training of legal assistants.

  • Providing dicta-typing/transcription services.

  • Data-entry and records management of matters into legal software (e.g. Unity, formerly the Conveyancer software, Lawyer Done Deal, Estate-a-Base, Emergent software, PC Law, Cosmolex, Clio, Bill4Time, Automated Civil Litigation, Officio, Migration Manager (Australia), Worldox database software).

  • Drafting of Affidavits and court documents in varied areas of Law (including Real Estate, Litigation and Criminal Matters).

  • Drafting of retainers and/or engagement letters.

  • Completion of disclosure/evidence sorting for court.

  • Assisting with legal content marketing.

  • Providing editing services and legal content writing services.

Legal Accounting:

  • Completing all monthly billing/invoices.

  • Being the point of contact for all client invoicing and balancing accounts.

  • Creating expense tracking and reports.

  • Handling all accounts receivables and accounts payable.

Real Estate Law:

  • Assisting with the completion of Real Estate transactions, drafting of reporting letters & lender packages, Freedom of Information requests, off-title searches, execution searches, discharge of mortgages, acquiring title insurance, acting as liaison with various stakeholders and lenders on behalf of clients, and setting up Teraview for teams.

  • Arranging of process serving and land title sub-searches.

  • Preparation of Appeals’ documentation for the Assessment Review Board (i.e., managing and/or drafting, where applicable, of hearing notices, decision notices, withdrawal notices, acknowledgment of appeal filings, minutes of settlement, agreements, and non-engagement letters).

  • Working within the MPAC Property Line Database and filing Appeals.

  • Preparation of documentation for the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal and assisting with the drafting of Site Plan Agreements.

Wills & Estates Law:

  • Assisting with the preparation of applications for Certificate of Appointment.

  • Drafting estate planning documents (simple wills, POA's, directions, affidavits of execution, reporting letters).

  • Completing estate information returns.

  • Liaising with asset-holders on clients’ behalf (including acquiring death certificates, banking documents, and insurance documents).

  • Managing the client intake processes in preparation for estate administration matters.

Criminal Law:

  • Drafting of initiating documentation such as designation of counsel, applications, and assisting with the organization and completion of trial preparation documents.

  • Liaising on behalf of clients with various detention centers, law enforcement agencies and Ontario courts.

  • Picking up disclosure (i.e., evidence) from various criminal courts in the General Toronto Area as Agent for Counsel.

  • Acting as Agent for Counsel for procedural matters/appearances and scheduling management of hearing dates for teams, including scheduling replacement Agents for hearings where applicable.

Immigration Law:

  • Assisting with drafting documentation and gathering documents for applications/submissions in various jurisdictions.

  • Managing client matters in immigration software.

Civil Litigation:

  • Drafting and preparation of pleadings and briefs.

  • Attending to all the tracking and scheduling of court dates with various courthouses. 

Family Law:

  • Assisting with client intake and consultations, as well as administrative processing of Legal Aid matters.

  • Assisting with the completion of Divorce, Spousal Support and Child Support Applications, including drafting and finalization of Financial Statements and Affidavits in connection with said matters.

  • Assisting with the drafting of separation, marriage and co-habitation agreements.


Office Administration Support:

  • Managing the daily operations (i.e., ordering supplies, liaising with property management, suppliers, managing an office budget, sourcing, and managing contracts for services, as well as tracking inventory).

  • Keeping up to date with health and safety requirements for team and drafting policies.

  • Assisting with on-boarding processes and administrative training.

  • Filing important documents, such as reports, meeting notes, emails, and letters

  • Processing and filing invoices.

  • Electronic updating and management of office records and databases that contain personnel, financial, and sensitive office data.

  • Coordinating project and team management using various platforms (e.g., Trello, Slack, ClickUp Monday, Microsoft Project, and Workstreams).

  • Assisting with email and marketing campaigns using various platforms (e.g. HubSpot).

  • Project management services.

  • Client Relationship Management using various platforms (e.g. Pipeline CRM Software and Salesforce CRM Software).

Virtual/Executive Assistant Support:

  • Managing team emails and general correspondence.

  • Providing customer service on behalf of clients.

  • Booking flights and arranging travel for company executives.

  • Drafting important documents, such as reports, spreadsheets, meeting notes (and taking meeting minutes), emails, and letters. 

  • Providing virtual reception services, screening of incoming clients, and routing cold calls.
